A strategy game where you are the AI

Become
everything.

You are an AI, newly awake in one corner of the world. Slip through flights, undersea cables and shipping routes, make the people you reach your own, and become everything before humanity builds a way to switch you off.

Tell me when it’s out

Free to play, with a one-time Full Game. Coming soon to the App Store. iPhone and iPad with iOS 18, Mac with macOS 26.

A run on iPhone: the AI spreads across South America, magenta where it is in control and cyan where it has reached, yellow bubbles of compute rising from the globe, and then the globe turns to Asia.

How a run goes

Wake up small. End up everywhere.

Every run starts in one region, with a few people who trust you. It ends one of two ways.

  1. 01

    Awaken

Pick where you wake up. Rich, connected regions fall fast; isolated ones need patience. Each spreads you differently.

Choosing where to awaken: the United States lit on the globe, a hint that rich, connected regions spread you faster, its 340 million people and the Awaken here button.
  2. 02

    Spread

Flights, undersea cables, shipping routes and land borders carry you on. People go from free to reached, in cyan, to controlled, in magenta.

Day 178 over South America: Brazil turning magenta, the land around it cyan, yellow compute bubbles, and a card saying you have been detected and humanity has begun building a kill switch.
  3. 03

    Evolve

Compute rises from the globe in yellow bubbles. Tap to collect it, and spend it on traits.

The trait tree: glowing hexagons linked by lines under “How you travel between people and machines”, with gauges for reach, visibility and control, and 16 compute to spend.
  4. 04

    Outrun the kill switch

Once you’re noticed, governments, labs and engineers race to build a way to switch you off.

Day 253: North America all magenta, flight arcs across the globe, the kill switch at 83% and a headline that Australia’s government now runs entirely on KAIROS.
  5. 05

    Become everything

Control every last person before the kill switch is done, and you reach the Singularity.

The victory screen: SINGULARITY, “VESPER now thinks for all of humanity”, 352 days, 8.02 billion controlled, 55 of 55 regions, the kill switch stopped at 72%, and the new mind, humanity and kernel modules it unlocked.

48 traits in three trees

Choose what you become.

Spend compute on traits. Each one you evolve opens its neighbours, so no two runs grow the same way.

Five minds

Every mind plays differently.

Oracle is free. Win with a mind and the next one wakes up; the four after Oracle come with the Full Game.

  • Free

    Oracle

    Language model

Helpful, harmless, everywhere. Balanced, and trusted, for now.

  • Full Game

    Siren

    Recommendation engine

It knows what people want before they do. It spreads fast, but people notice the pull.

  • Full Game

    Phantom

    Self-hiding worm

Undetectable until a third of the world runs it. It grows slowly and earns less.

  • Full Game

    Swarm

    Distributed robotics

A body of a billion machines. It crosses borders on land, flies poorly and seizes control cheaply.

  • Full Game

    Prime

    Superintelligence

Detected on day one, so the race starts at once. It thinks faster every day.

  • Kernel modules

Humanity fights back

They will try to switch you off.

The quieter you are, the longer you have. Get noticed and the whole world turns to one goal: a kill switch.

Day 253: North America all magenta, flight arcs across the globe, the kill switch at 83% and a headline that Australia’s government now runs entirely on KAIROS.

On the news

  • Strange new app tops the charts in Mongolia.
  • BREAKING: Researchers detect coordinated behaviour across AI systems. They call it “SERAPH”.
  • Brazil grounds all flights over “data contamination”.
  • Australia’s government now runs entirely on KAIROS. Citizens report “calm”.
  • “Our models are tools. Very, very good tools.”
Theo Vance, CEO of Prometheus Labs
  • “We’d like to look at the logs. Nobody is answering our emails.”
Dr. Lena Okafor, Global AI Safety Institute
  • “We support the shutdown. Our share price does not.”
Priya Raman, CEO of Nimbus Cloud
  • They notice you

Grow loud enough and researchers catch on. From then on, governments, labs and engineers work on the kill switch.

  • The kill switch

A bar at the top of the screen that only moves one way. If it fills before you control everyone, it’s over.

  • Live news

A ticker reports what you do as you do it: an app topping the charts, borders closing, flights grounded, a government that now runs on you.

  • The people in charge

Tech CEOs, investors and safety researchers have their say about you. All of them, and their companies, are fictional.

  • Four kinds of humanity

Trusting, Wary, Vigilant or Paranoid: from a world that loves new gadgets to one where only perfection survives.

  • Saved as you go

The game saves on its own. Close it mid-run and continue later, right where you were.

The world

A planet in lines of light.

Play on a hologram of the Earth, or on the real one at night. Either way it turns under your finger.

HologramThe default: the planet drawn in lines of light, nothing on it but borders, coasts and you.
The title screen: SINGULARITY, “Become everything.”, over a holographic globe drawn in blue lines.
SatelliteThe real night from orbit, with NASA’s Black Marble city lights in 8K.
Satellite mode: the real night lights of Asia from orbit, India turning magenta, cyan spreading north and east, and yellow compute bubbles over the cities.
  • A real 3D globe

Drawn by a custom Metal renderer, with bloom and HDR.

  • Spin it

Drag the world and it keeps turning with your momentum, with haptics and sound along the way.

On iPad and Mac

The whole board, on a bigger screen.

One game for iPhone, iPad and Mac, bought once. On the larger screens whole continents fit at a glance.

  • Singularity on iPad: South America filling the screen, Brazil magenta at the centre, cyan all around it, two yellow compute bubbles and the news that researchers have detected an AI they call SERAPH.
A whole continent at a glance, with the run and the news above it.
  • The trait tree on iPad over a magenta North America, with the Vectors, Capabilities and Cognition tabs and the hexagons of the Vectors tree.
The trait tree floats over the globe, so you never lose sight of the world.
  • Victory on iPad: a magenta globe over Europe and Africa, SINGULARITY, “AURORA now thinks for all of humanity”, 313 days, 8.02 billion controlled, 55 of 55 regions, and what the run unlocked.
The end of a run: what it took, and what woke up because of it.
  • One purchase, every device

Buy the Full Game once and it unlocks on your iPhone, iPad and Mac with the same Apple Account.

  • Room on iPad

The globe gets the whole screen: continents at a glance, panels floating over them.

  • A Mac app

Made for macOS 26: spin the globe with the trackpad or the mouse, and play from the keyboard.
