Pulse privacy policy

Last updated September 26, 2026

Pulse is a Mac app by SIUX. On the Mac App Store it is sold by Marcos Sanchez; at siux.co it is sold by SIUX Studio LLC, which handles your order data. It is built to keep what it measures on your Mac. This page says exactly what it stores, what it sends and when.

What stays on your Mac

Pulse reads how your Mac is doing: CPU, memory, GPU, disk, network, battery, temperatures and the apps using them. It keeps 30 days of that history, your preferences and your license key on your Mac only, in its own files and your Keychain.

The Mac App Store edition runs in Apple’s sandbox: it doesn’t read other apps, temperatures, fans, development servers or Bluetooth accessories, and it has no license key.

There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Pulse doesn’t send what it measures to SIUX or to anyone else.

The two requests Pulse makes, only when you ask

Speed test: when you click Run Test, macOS’s networkQuality tool measures your connection against Apple’s servers. Apple’s privacy policy applies to that measurement.

Public IP address: when you click Show next to Public IPv4, Pulse asks Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) which address your connection reaches the internet from. Like any website, Cloudflare sees your IP address in that request. Cloudflare’s privacy policy applies.

Pulse makes no other network requests. Your local IPv4 and public IPv6 addresses are read from your Mac without contacting anyone.

Location

macOS treats your Wi-Fi network’s name as location data. Pulse asks for Location only if you click Show name in the Wi-Fi card, and only to display that name. It never reads, stores or sends where you are, and everything else works without Location.

Notifications and accessories

Alerts are local notifications on your Mac. Battery levels of your Bluetooth accessories are read from macOS and stay on your Mac.

When you buy Pulse from siux.co

Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your email address, the pack you bought and the order details; we never see your card. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to the payment.

Your license is sent to your email through Resend, our email provider. We use your email to deliver your license, answer your questions and handle refunds, and never sell or share it for marketing.

If you buy Pulse on the Mac App Store, Apple handles the purchase and we don’t receive your personal details.

Keeping and deleting your data

Pulse’s data lives on your Mac: its history in ~/Library/Application Support/Pulse, its preferences, and the license key in your Keychain. Deleting the app and that folder removes the history. Order records are kept in Stripe for as long as tax and accounting rules require. To ask for a copy of your data, or to delete it where the law allows, write to hello@siux.co.

Children

Pulse is a general-purpose utility and isn’t directed at children.

Changes and contact
